As Your Learning becomes invaluable to every employee, it can be used to promote customized learning recommendations. Spotlights are like digital ads at the top of the Your Learning home page that are targeted to each user learner demographic. They can be used to promote a program, a learning activity, or anything that has a unique URL. With Spotlights, you can promote one program to developers, another to marketers, and a third to front-line personnel.
AI algorithms need data and training to improve. Learning professionals can create a topic taxonomy and then train Watson Tag Advisor to add tags to relevant activities related to that topic. Once trained, Watson Tag Advisor regularly looks at all learning activities and adds tags to them. These additional tags allow for more personalized recommendations, at speed and scale.
Need to have a whole team go through a course? Use Required Learning. Team members are notified via Your Learning, and the manager can easily track who’s completed the course.
Get an overall picture of who’s learning what on Your Learning. The system knows what learners are searching for, which allows learning professionals to put “suggested matches” at the top of the search results.
Target programs to the employees who can gain from them. Have a certification program for engineers in Europe? Promote it. Have one for project managers in the U.S.? Promote it.
